A Short Overview of the Content in the course Syndicate   Minimize

The course is broken up into 4 main sections. These sections focus on the different aspects of Self-Publishing and the writing process. The main sections are:-

  • Introduction To Self-Publishing
  • Section 1 - Starting Your Book
  • Section 2 - Revising Your Manuscript
  • Section 3 - Preparing Your Files
  • Bonus Section - Self-Publishing the Easy Way

Introduction To Self-Publishing

This section provides a background to self-publishing. The reasons why one would do it as there is an increasing number of self-publishers today. It provides an overview of the process, the advantages and disadvantages and a list of useful resources for aspiring self-publishers.

Starting Your Book

In this section we cover the planning phase of your book. Topics covered will include how to choose the target market of your book, how to generate the necessary ideas around your topic, deciding on a captivating Book Title that will attract and appeal to your selected market. In this section we do a lot of the writing and building of the content for your book. Initially you will start by just deciding what the different sections, chapter headings etc will be and then as you progress through the Section you will add more and more meat to the initial skeleton. In each module there are videos and tutorials to watch that help you with the writing process.

Revising Your Manuscript

Once you have completed all the preliminary sections, you will be ready to take on the very important step of proofreading and editing your book. As you do this, you will be taught to create a short blurb of your book that will be used when your book is listed on Amazon and other sites (depending on how far you want to take your writing). We will also show you how to submit your book to publishers all across the world.

Preparing Your Files

Its one thing to finish writing your book and its quite another to have it in a format that is ready for submission. Depending on which company you use to self-publish your book, you will need to supply your files in certain specific formats. You may even decide to do the cover design yourself (to save some money). This section shows you how to prepare your files in acceptable print-ready formats that most of the publishing companies will accept.

Publishing the Easy Way

As you would have realised the pace of life has changed dramatically in the last 10 years. There are now easier, faster, more profitable ways to shop, keep in contact with your loved ones etc. When it comes to publishing, its no different. There is the OLD way and there is the NEW way. In this section we show you how to get your book published within 30 days and have it selling from Bookstores worldwide, without you moving from your seat.

Side Note: Throughout the course, there will be accompanying interviews with other successful writers and self publishers who have been there and done it. Some of them have even been featured on Oprah, others have sold thousands of books worldwide. We look forward to seeing you inside.

To your writing success!!
